Power Generation

We offer a wide range of products for application in the power generation sector ranging from refractory bricks and castables to various propriety technology based products along with value added services such as product installation and traning basis the customers specific requirements.

Our team of trained professionals are equiped with the knowledge to offer the most efficient turn around times for optimised product applications causing reduced lead times for shutdowns for related maintenance.

The various related applications are as mentioned below:

  • Boilers: Industrial boilers have a wide range of applications for generation of steam/heat in :paper plants, food processing, hospital or professional laundry etc. Damages in the refractory lining can cause loss off efficiency or damange of the boiler shell.

  • Circulating Fluidised Bed (CFB): is a type of Fluidized bed combustion that utilizes a recirculating loop for a greater efficiency of combustion while achieving lower emission of pollutants.Forced air is injected underneath a fuel bed.During the combustion process, strong drafts are produced that carry combustion products and uncombusted fuel into the unit’s ductwork. A cyclone is used to separate combustion products from the heavier uncombusted fuel and return it to the bed. This process leads to a high conversion rate of fuel and reduces the process waste streams to just airborne fines.Refractories within a CFB can have vastly different refractory needs. CFBs are known for the abrasive nature of the process, and refractories designed to resist abrasion, impact, and high temperature.

  • Gasifiers: is the process of converting biodegradable waste materials into synthetic gas without combustion. In the gasification process, fuel will be gasified at 850oC[12] in the presence of steam to produce a nitrogen-free and clean synthetic gas. Charcoal will be burnt with air in the combustion chamber to provide the heating for the gasification process as it is an endothermic process. Thermal transfer will take place between the gasification and combustion chamber.

  • Energy From Waste: Waste-to-energy (WtE) is the process of generating energy in the form of electricity and/or heat from the primary treatment of waste, or the processing of waste into a fuel source.WtE is a form of energy recovery. Most WtE processes generate electricity and/or heat directly through combustion, or produce a combustible fuel commodity, such as methane, methanol, ethanol or synthetic fuels. Common refractory charisteristics required are abrasion resistance, resistance to thermal shock and alkalies/chemical attack.
